I have a 2007 dodge ram with the simple cd radio not the nav. unit. I am trying to hook up my amp and need to know if there is a wire on the stock head unit that will turn on the amp. If there is no wire then please advise how I should proceed. thanks

There is not a wire on the radio. There is a suitable wire on your cigarette lighter. If your cigarette lighter is constant voltage, there is a fuse in the fuse box under the hood. It is the only fuse that has 3 connections. You can move it from constant to switched.
