Hey everybody,

So I'm an amateur installer (4+ installs, no problem) and I've been trying to help my brother with his subwoofers and enclosure.  He has two 10" Orion XTR Pros and had an Orion box.  However, the box got dropped and had a broken faceplate, so the bass was weak and he was getting some crappy vibration.  He bought a new Q-Logic dual 10" box (I know I know...I hear they have problems) and I installed his Orions in the new box.  The Orions have DVC's, so I wired them in parallel to get 2-Ohm loads, and he has a 400x2 amp, so I wired each driver to a separate channel.  The problem is that now one driver fires deeper than the other...it appears the other is firing normal, and the odd driver is over-firing.  I don't have the leads mixed up or anything...what could cause this?  Is it an issue with the box, or is it a power issue?  I essentially wired it the same as the installers had wired his original Orion box.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!

I would say one of the subs might be out of phase (positive and negative are backwards).   You should be able to tell because the one that's out of phase will be moving inwards, instead of out away from the box, when the bass hits. Try switching the positive and negative on the speaker firing inward, and see what it all sounds (and looks!) like.
