I recently ordered some Aluminum/Copper/Mangesium alloy cone speakers. I wanted to experiment with something different... is there anyone who has any experience with these type of speakers who can give me some advice on mounting and encosure design? Here is a link to the matching Subs and Component Speakers.

SUB:  http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=292-795&ctab=6

COMPONENTS: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&User_ID=13892090&St=4181&St2=78357989&St3=87989854&DS_ID=3&Product_ID=16035&DID=7

also: i am using a JBL 1200.1 amp for the sub (just running one dvc sub in parallel for a total of a 2 ohm load) but havent picked out an amp system for the components. If the 1200.1 sounds good i probably will go with a jbl 4 channel amp for those. right now i am using the head unit's 53watts X4 (clarion dxz835mp) to push the mids and tweeters but it sounds terribly underpowered.

any suggestions on any of my system's details would be appreciated...

First time i have seen that model sub so have no idea what to expect from them. Specs look pretty good. From what i've seen from other brands that have some kinda alloy cone they have great sound quality to them. That amp looks like a pretty good match for them as long as you keep the gains down a bit. Dont know if you looked but they had box recommendations on that site as well. Personally would go with what they say to put them in. On the components amp, if wanting to save some money take a look at this amp http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S-T9B3gnWmwaf/ProdView.asp?s=0&c=3&g=120&I=235USB4085&o=m&a=0&cc=01&avf=N, I just ordered one of these earlier today( bad thing is its on backorder), going by the specs they list plus the ones on the manufacturers site they are a pretty good clean amp. Plus for the price and the 3 yr warranty for that size amp, hard to pass up. I checked around on some other brands and very few are as clean as that one, and all of them cost a hell of alot more for the same size. Just my opinionAlloy Cone Speakers? -- posted image..
