im installing a alpine CVA1003 in a 2000 320 ci
and wanted to know what if any adapter do i need to install it, and which wire harness,dash kit,antena adapters do i need?
also he has the stweering whel controls , can i use the PAC sterring wheel controler for this car i sued it on my truck and it works fine but hte bmw has i think like multi task steerring controls
please let me know

I don't think the steering wheel controls will be able to be used with the alpine.

This vehicle needs the  vwa antenna adapter, the Scosche BW2320B kit, and a harness like this one.  I don't know the corresponding metra and bestkits part numbers but I'm sure both of those companies make similar items as well.

why dont you think the sterring controld cant be used with the alpine
it has a remote input in the bak this is how i did mine in my truck, but i dont know if it would work because of the muliti tasking of the controlsss
please let me know

I just did a lil more research and according to their updated installation manual for the SWI-X, BMWs that have either a "factory-activated cellular phone" or a "5-volt SWC data wire at the steering column" are not compatible with the SWI-X.  All of the rest of the vehicles will work though apparently.

As for when I said "with the alpine" I really should have just left that part off because now that I'm reading it a 2nd time I see how it looks confusing.  The alpine head unit will have no problems working with the SWI-X, and it seems as though most likely your vehicle will work fine with the SWI-X as well.
