i am looking for a chicago area install shop that can do custom installs of a component system. does anyone have any suggestions; recommendations? I want to install 6 1/2" midranges and seperate 1" tweeters and i am not sure how good it would look without an experienced custom installer. I work at best buy (but not in the install bay) so it would be cheap to do it there with my EMP discount but im not sure how good a job they would do.

Although you get an employee discount if you don’t have confidence in the shop or installer, then I would suggest you go somewhere else. I don’t know of any installers in that area but you could try the 12 volts installers database https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/findinstaller.asp

i used that link above and typed "chicago" and got 161 listings from all over the country and exactly 1 of those listings was actually for chicago. anyways, i'm not looking for a database of installers, i can find that in the phone book, im looking for recommendations from someone who has had a good install experience with someone in my area.
