I have a rear-fill dilemma I need help w/

Bare with me here. On my quest to build the ultimate sound system, I have ran into a problem. Here is where my problem is: Connecting the: Pioneer DEX-P9 Pioneer DEQ-P9 JL Audio e6450 Keep in mind that the DEQ-P9 has 4 outputs (sub,low,mid,high) Each of these outputs will be occupied. Sub going to my sub amp and Low,Mid,High going to my e6450 amp(6-channel). I'm trying to figure out where to get a signal to run an additional amp for my rear-fill. BTW, I understand that rear-fill is a debatable topic but lets not debate that on this post. Ok, My DEX-P9 has external preouts but the signal will not be the same from the head unit v.s. that of the DEQ-P9. The signal will be delayed to the DEQ-P9. So if I decide to use one of the preouts on the deck fro rear-fill, the audio will arrive at my ear quicker than the audio coming from the DEQ-P9(which is hooked up to the front stage) (I know b/c I have tried this) The only other option I know of is by splitting one of the signals on the DEQ-P9 possibly the Mid b/c its freq rang is 200-on up. My concern with this would be time-alignment issues. If I'll be going fully active on all speakers. I also plan on taking full advantage of the DEQ-P9's time alignment settings. Well if the signal is split from the front mid to the rear-fill, then when I use time alignemt, it will be affecting both the front and the rear... None of my amps have acc. preouts so that is not an option either.... I am completely stuck and have no idea what to do. If only Pioneer would have made an accessory or rear-fill preout on the DEQ-P9, then all my problems would be solved. Let me know if you have any ideas..

Ok, you are in a tough spot. You have it right that you are going to have to split one of the outputs to another amp. IMO it should be the mid. For time alignment, tuning, or competition you should wire a relay(inline with the remote wire) to shut the rear fill off. And I am not gonna debate the value of rear fill.Certified Security Specialist
