I am currently running two pioneer 10" premier subs (TS-W1001C). I rather enjoy the punch they put out but i'm looking for that little bit more. A bit more feeling in it. I was thinking of replacing them with a pair of eclipse 87101.4. But i'm not too sure if this will give me what i'm looking for. Amp is a Cadence z1000 so 400rms mono. Thanks in advance.

I would recommend more power on those subs, Ive used the z1000 several times its a good amp just not real powerful double your current rms power would really make those subs get off

I've run those subs with 450rms each and there wasn't all that much improvement. A little more control but didn't hit as hard as i would of liked.

well i honestly dont think that the eclipse suds will be much different than what you have now your best bet may be to run with  larger subs possibly in a ported design

Thanks for your input Samdub. I was looking into running ported but i don't have the space to give up so i guess i will just make do with what i have until i can spare some more space. Anyone else have anything to say on the subject?
