I have a Kenwood KDCX759 deck, and I'm having trouble using the RCA PreAmp Outputs for the front channel.  The deck has speaker-level outputs running from the deck to all four channels.  I just put in a new amplifier and ran RCA cables to the deck.  The problem is that the deck doesn't seem to realize that I want to use the PreAmp Outs instead of the speaker-level Outs.  Even with the new amp & speakers installed, they get no signal.  Yet the original front speakers (still in the car) work just as they did before.

So how do I set my deck to use the PreAmp Outs instead of the speaker-level Outs?

Thanks for the help!!        -Chris

A radios pre-outs should work all the time, with exception to some sub outputs. Your problem sounds like it is in your amp/wiring rather then your deck.

I'm not sure if this is any help since you have a Kenwood, but with my Pioneer deck, I had to turn on the rear pre-outs to full range by using the menus. It has two options for the rear pre-outs, full range or subwoofer.
Did you try disconnecting the stock speakers?
