I am having a slight problem hooking up my amp in a 2003 Ranger. In my 02 mustang, the stock audio had two amps in the back deck so I tied my amps (pioneer 100/2) input into those amps inputs. My problem now is that I have no decent source to feed the amp, I would like to feed off of one of the rear door speakers, however (I'm an audio newbie) I tested both input wires into the speaker and they both are carrying a current.
I tried using each wire as the input power, and ground, swapped them, used both as an input power with a body ground, even tried each as input power seperately with a body ground, nothing. Amp is powered and on, but no feed.
    Any advice?

Does your Ranger have a factory installed amp?

do you still have the factory radio in?  just buy a line out converter and tap it off the rear speaker wires.

Audio signal is AC voltage not DC voltage so that neither one will show ground.  You'll need to figure out which wire is positive and which is negative, usually you can get it from someone on this site.
