I Need Help

i do not wish to appeart daft but i have blown two stereos, and can never get one to function for a substantial time period correctly.

first one  i had 9 volts going to left rear speaker even when stereo off.(blew preamp), second i dont know blew a transistor? attatched to red power cord on stereo harness.

ran own ground, power after first but kept draining my battery i dont know what is wrong. anyone?

It would help to know the type of car you are installing into and the make/model of the head unit you want to install.

yeah dude..like DYohn said it would be a lot easier to know the made/model..but im sure its either your car or you wiried it wrong
