The after market in-dash radio gets very warm.  Have checked the wiring harness diagram but the colors don't match.  The AM/FM works fine but not the CD player.  Have tried another radio and get the same results.  Constant 12 volts and switched 12 volts are present and the ground ohms out to the chassis.  Anyone have a similar problem?

Do you have a wiring kit for it or did you just hook it straight uo to your truck?

If at first you dont succeed, change the rules so that you did.

how does the CD player not work, if there is no sound output and you have either a factory amp or and aftermarket amp, check to make sure that you have the power control/remote turn on hooked up correctly to either the factory amp or to the remote turn on for your amp.  If you hook up the power antenna wire to either of these then you will only have sound when you are on AM/FM.  Just a thought.

I took the head back to the dealer, he checked it and it was defective.  Swapped it for another one and all is OK.  Thanks for all the help.......some good ideas.
