What do you mean by " color matched " ?? All vehicle wiring is different and you have to hook up wire according to their characteristics, not color match. According to the diagram the 12+ is BLACK in color and the switched IGN is BLUE so make sure that you did not color match to this otherwise you may have blown the receiver.

uh oh. i color matched by the table on the back of the wiring harness package. so then there no real universal way of doin it then huh . . the reciever isn't blown tho is it? cuz it still turns on and acts as tho its playing. only thing wrong is no sound. so the only thing i think i mixed up was the speaker wire splices. but if i change those with the others . . well i got my nifty DMM as of yesterday nothin can stop me now lol. unless i blow the fuse in that =). i'ma use the diagram on here and see what i did wrong n post after i've:

A: finished the job nice thanks to 12 volt's community

B: shocked myself to death (veeery slowly) with 12 volts

C: blown the reciever

PS i'm hoping for A. wish me luck ^^ . . . kinda scary that i was a job in this industry huh =P

Did you cut into the factory harness?  If not, go to a good stereo shop and purchase the Metra harness adaptoer.  If you have already cut off the factory connector, here's the chart for your car:
