ohm no i need help

four and five channel amps always give a 2 ohm rating... but i have never seen a 2 ohm speaker other than a subwoofer. i do not do alot of audio stuff so i am somewhat retarted in this area. thanks for the help

They give that rating to the amp to make it seem like it gives more power. A two ohm load will make twice the power as a four ohm load. Most speakers are four ohm.

thanks auex i guess if you put two speakers in every door that info would be usefull. car audio is hard! good sound is so relative... alarms starters... it either works or ir it doesnt

no not two speakers in each door, what you could do is just wire two speakers in paralell and that would give you a 2ohm load.

i'd rather put one amp to each speaker for the sake of flexability, but thanks for the input
