friends don't let friends buy sony, so if you want to replace it with audiobarn go for it. I'll find out a little more on the amp and post you again. Your vehicle is the s-10? Is it a reg cab or xtra cab? Tell me about the box for the subs

no i have a friend that needs an amp for two lanzar subs, he has gotten his system completely free besides the amp, so he just needs something that will make the lanzar sound as good as they can, and have room to upgrade the subs later. just  so you know i have a rockford to replace my sony, it was the first amp i ve bought and ive learned, im actually going to merge the systems from my turck and my moms car into my truck when i move out next year. so ill have two kappa perfects up for sale in the future.

The audiobarn is a good little amp, I am a delaer of audiobarn (haha) and have done some work with them mainly at our larger store. We did not however bring in the "Intake" series of amplifiers that you are interested in but nonetheless they are great little amplifiers. I need to know what model # the Lanzar subs are to find out if it is a good match. PS if you r open to an opinion, both the Alpine type R and Infinity Kappa are great subs, but do yourself a favour and inquire about the big nasty Eclipse aluminum, You will definitely be impressed.

yeah i know i want to get the titaninums but i want to get airbags and an engine and do the interior of my truck before i spend more money on the system, the system already cost me plenty more than the truck considering i got the truck for free and have put several thousand just upgrading my systems.

The lanzar subs are the MXW12D, fun talking with ya tho!  :)

If you already have the subs, go for it, wire them in each in series first to make each sub a 8 ohm driver, then wire them together in parallel, you will then have an approximate 4 ohm mono load that the Audiobarn will drive easily. Tell your friend that the box you puts those drivers into will either make or break them. If you r not clear on how to wire these subs, post back and I or someone else will be glad to help you out. It's frickin freezin here to - to -  today, great white north my ass, bring me sun and chicks. Damn dial up internet at home, that really sucks blue whale.

For every horror story you hear about one brand you never really hear all the good stuff said about it either. Hell I can't stand Sony, will never ever sell it in my stores, yet there are lots of guys that like it and use it all the time, good for them.
