Hey:

I am looking to install a new stereo in the TC with factory amp.

1. Do I bypass the amp and wire directly to the stock speakers, or do I send the "speaker level" signal into the amp (as the current unit seems be wired).

2. The antenna wire(s) look like they go directly into the amp - with no "coax" going into the head unit itself. Are there 2 antennas feeding the amp (diversity), or does one of the coax cables go...ok, I can't find where the other coax goes.

3. The wires coming out of the stock HU do not match any of the color code diagrams I have seen on this web site. But the wires coming out of the amp almost match the color codes I have seen here.

Thank you.

There are lots of different amp bypass harnesses available for Ford, go to www.scosche.com and you can see how many there are. I would recommend that you have a shop do this install for you as no doubt they will have the parts on hand (or can get them), have seen it before and can get you looked after in a minimum amount of time. Sometimes it is worth paying for, especially if you want to put the car back to stock one day.
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
