Ok, I have 2 12's in a Sealed box and I need to wire them up to my amp to get the most power... my amp is 600x1 @ 4 ohm... my subs are 8 ohm and they cut down to 4 ohm with the 2 wires out the back of the box.  do i bridge this to get the 600 watts or just hook it up to one channel?

need more info about the subs, are the both 4ohm dvc? if so run them in series parallel, or parallel series to get your 4ohm load to the amp.

they are 2 SVC 8 ohm subs.  They are in a MTX box and they are wired up to where it is 4 ohm coming out of the box

Run your 4 ohm sub load to your amp and connect it bridged.

When I was hooking up my sub to my amp, I was fortunate to have the CEO/engineer of the company who built my sub present.  It is a dual 2 ohm voice coil sub and I am hooking it up to an Arc 1500dr 2 channel amp.  I asked him if it would be better to hook it up bridged at 1 ohm, or 2 ohm "stereo" since both provide the same amount of power.  He said it was a little easier on the amp to hook it up to each channel instead of bridging.  In your case, if the subs share the same air space then make sure your signal is mono going to the amp.

its my belief that a mono signal to subs is always better because the right and left channel can change which would make the subs hit differently
