I'm thinking of getting a new component, I want to know which one be the better for sq between alpine and kenwood

No one can answer that for you.  You will have to go out and listen to them for yourself and make up your own mind.  Component speakers get way too subjective for someone to claim one is better than another.  If you asked about specific performance (low frequency extention, bright highs), then that could be answered.  But which is better can only be answered by you.

I used to have a kenwood excelon component set brand new back in 1998.  Now I have the Alpine SPX-177A components.  Personally, and it is my opinion of course, I would say there is no comparison.  The alpine set is much better than the kenwoods.
I be tossin and flossin, my style is awesome. Causin' more family feuds than Richard Dawson.

I agree with Steven above, we all hear different and we all listen to different music, go listen to what you can and buy the ones that you like the sound of best.

Just my opinion but the Polk db6500 components sound great. I have 2 sets in my truck and I wouldn't give em up for nothing so while your out listening take a look at those as well!!
