hey everybody!
i just got my sub and amp installed. it's a jbl 300.1. this may be a dumb question but what does distortion sounds like? is it like buzzing when the bass hits? also how do i correct set the input, low-pass filter, and the bass boost?
any good songs i should play while setting? hehe
thanks!

the input settings is quite easy...set bass/treble to flat.  disconnect all other speakers.  now play your favourite song (something bassy) and set your decks volume to 3/4 or a little less.  now start turning the gain up until you begin to hear distorion...be close to the sub for this, as its hard to tell from far away.

when it begins to distort, turn the gain down just enough for the distortion to go away and ur set.  the crossover can be played with from 60 to 120 hz, depending on what sounds good in the car.  bass boost should be turned off (imho)
