hello everyone

I'm new, and I hate to start off with a request but if anyone could help that would be wonderful.  I am about to do an install in my friends new G35, but have a few questions that I just can't find anywhere else.  The stock head unit is not a normal DIN size, its alot smaller.  Is there a mounting kit for this problem, and do I have to cut into his dash trim to make a normal DIN sized head unit fit?  The car has the Bose system option with the 6 CD changer...complicates things alot.  Any info would help.

you cannot do anything to that car!  sorry to tell you that but that vehicle has fiberoptic cable running thru the car not regular wire.  so there is no way to add any audio components to that car.   we ran into this problem at the shop a few weeks ago and the head installer told me this.

Jimmy's right dude. they made that car almost impossible to work on. I think (i haven't worked on one yet so i don't know for sure) all you can do (without having to rewire the whole car) is add a LOC to the front speaker leads and maybe add a sub. But I'm about 99% sure that Jimmy's right. it may be more trouble that its worth.

Are you sure that wasn't a 350Z?  The inside looks a little different.
