Hey, I'm curious what you guys think about farad caps. I heard people say good and bad things about them. If I use big enough capaciters will I still need an altenator upgrade or a second battery.

Second at some point soon I am going to build my box. It's for 4 tens going into an 87 golf gti. I already took the seats out but there is an anti roll bar in the trunk area. I am actually wondering which way they face. I've thought about three setups assuming they should be firing towards the rear. It's going to be a sealed box and one thought was to make a platform that I can put an amp rack long ways in the middle with 2 subs on each side firing up and towrds the center of the roof. Second is to put 2 subs in a row firing towards the rear with a slight angle up with the amp rack closer to the seat and last trying to fit all four in row with the amps near the seats again.

I forgot to tell you how much power I'm going to run. At least 1500 watts rms, and probably closer to 2000-2500 after I finish upgrading everything. Thanks

h/o alternator is always the best way to go a capacitor is just a band-aid for your electrical system...especially with that amount of power......
the louder the better !!!!!!
