well a friend from workwants me to install a cd player and some subs on his 02 intrepid. my question is, di dodge run part of their computer trough the head unit like gm did to al of their 2000 cars and up or it is a regular 8 buck hardness instead of the $40??? oh yeah what would be a good pair of 12 for sound quality. he is like 35 with 3 kids so he just want something nice. im workin on a $700 budget

Use one or two JL W3v2 subs. These sound great. If he wants an SQ setup then you should only need one 10" or 12" sub. For one sub a JL e1200 ,JL 250/1 ,or Rockford Fosgate 301M should be fine. For two subs Then I would use a JL 500/1 or a Rockford Fosgate Punch P6001 amp. Make sure to get the 2 ohm version of the sub if you only use one and you want to get the most power out of any of the amps i listed. If you get two subs make sure to get the 2 ohm version also if you want to get the most power out of these mono sub amps. Use an Eclipse HU. These have awseome sound quality.

yeah i was thinkin of jl. he is the one that wants 2 12 so hey he is payin so it is kool. where can i find a good deal on jl, cuz all the websites that i buy stuff from dont have jl or speedsound send u straight to jl

Well.. JL dosn't allow internet dealers to sell their products so your out of luck unless you want to buy off of ebay which I STRONGLY dont reccomend because you do not get a warranty from the manufacture (if they say you do then they are lying) and you dont know the condition of the product untill you get it. So if you got a defective peice of equipment your stuck with it. Only local dealers can sell JL products so check if any in your city or close by sell JL. I'm lucky that my city does have a JL dealer.

Always buy from the authorized dealer, they are the ones that will look after you if you need it. Most specialty lines like JL and Eclipse are only available at a specialty retailer for very good reasons. Warranty and support are just a couple of them.

yeah i might go to this dealer about 30 min from my house. im still thinkin of jl or diamond audio
