Okay, by now half of you know i have an Eclipse 5303 head unit that fires up, but doesn't play sound, or open the cd door.
Right now it's all opened up, with pieces scattered all over my office...
There IS a set of 4 switches.... 1,2,3 are all off, and 4 is on...  is that the correct sequence?
also, the only noticable abnormality is a Nichicon H9832 (capacitor?  1 inch tall, .25 inch diameter round object, with black sheathing, and grey stripe...) has a solid white substance right at the bottom of it... however, it is also found in sevearl other places through the unit..

Okay, how about an eclipse tech support number, or schematics?

The white solid could be a heat displacement gel...key words are 'could be'...just a thought...

talk to your local eclipse dealer...they should have the numbers you need...

Take off the small blackpop off panel around the key. Take off the heater control knobs and the small black cover behind the knobs.Take the drivers side underdash off, take the passenger side underdash off, take off the center pop off under dash small panel . Take off the the center radio panel. Voila you have radio removal with 4 bolts.
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
