I've got a Craig 300 watt amp that I want to hook up to 2 12" subs. The info I got off the amp is as follows:
Craig Powerplay Plus
Mosfet PWM
2 channel bridgeable
300 watt RMS MA230
I have 8 wires coming from the amp, and I lost my diagram as to what wire goes where. The colors are:
blue, blue w/ black stripe, white, white w/ black stripe, brown, brown w/ black stripe, purple, and purple w/ black stripe.
The 2 subs are all I'm planning to hook up to the amp. Any info you can help me with would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

if your head ynit has rca outputs you dont need to use the "line in" wires. dont mistake your power(red) ground(blk) and remote(usually blue or orange solid colors)

The amp does not have RCA outputs on it. RCA inputs only. I've only got regular wires coming out that I need to splice onto the speaker wires. I need to know which colored wire goes to which speaker, positive/negative etc. Thanks

If i read the thread correcly I believe what you are seeing is the high level input of the amp....

what you need to do is run a pair of rcas from the head unit to your rca inputs on your amp and also your remote, power, ground...

If we learn from each success and
each failure, then we can improve ourselves

I've already hooked up the power, ground, remote, and RCA cords. Everything appears to function correctly, but when I try to hook up the speakers, I get no sound whatsoever. The wires I'm talking about plug into a receptacle that says "speaker" on it. The diagram I lost said something about this (example)"blue/positive, and it goes to the right rear speaker." I don't know if the wires are bad, or if the whole amp is bad, or if I'm just doing something wrong.

Those wires you are talking about go to high level input and as far as no sound make sure all of the fuses are good (past experiance). I hope that helps. If not most of these guys really sound knowledgable.

This may sound stupid, but I've only got two fuses touching the amp. One is in the power cord coming from the battery(I bought the wiring kit brand new for this amp), and one in the unit itself. To the best of my knowledge, they are both good. Also (another dumb? question), what do you mean about high level input? Is it something I can use for my speakers as is, or do I need to route it through another way? Btw, this is my first experience installing an amp so I'm still learning.
I'm on my own.

does a light come on at all?

do you have any rca's?

do you have a aftermarket head unit?

high level input is if your head unit does not have rca outputs.

yes if you dont have a rca output on your cd player then you will have to use your speaker lines in order to hook up your amp...

right rear to the right rear of your amp...which I tried to see if I could find some info out for you on your amp such as what color is what but I have not had any luck...Craig amp wiring -- posted image.
