Well Shortly after getting my system finally tuned and rockin.. ofcourse my lady wants one installed in her car. This is what im thinking.

Alpine CDA-9807

JBL BP300.1 Amp (Probally going to change this)

Pair of JBL P1020D Subs

Now I have heard great things about JBL subs but im not sure which is top and low end. Thats why im asking for thoughts.  Im trying to keep the cost under $700.

If you buy those subs you will definitely need a bigger amp. The gto line of subs is their lowest end. Have you looked at JL's W0 line of subs? They pound pretty hard and they arn't expensive(they would be a good match for the JBL amp you listed above).

Their W3v2 line handles 300 watts or more RMS. You get about twice as much excursion also.
