8 Awg or 4 Awg

i am new here, and i was wondering if 8 or 4 Awg  Power  wire makes a difference. And also does brand make a difference ?  Like is rockford wiring any better then  no name wiring  or no ?

It all depends on how many watts your system is... if its above 600 or 700 watts id say 4 AWG otherwise you could use 8 AWG.  The brand name companies such as Rockford do make better wires which is why the cost is higher.

Thanks,  i bought a used amp which is a 2 channel 500 watt bridged it is way overrated though, at the moment i have 8 Awg no name wire which i bought just to get my system hooked up.  I plan on getting a new amp soon, not sure which one,  i was looking at the rockford 351M  or the kenwood  kac929, I also wanted to upgrade my wire to 4 Awg too, but i was wondering if i  should go brand name or not.

Use Stinger wire if you can. They make excellent stuff (including alternators and batterys).

I have not heard of Stinger wire in Canada. not around here anyway.
