I work for a car dealership, and whenever customers trade in cars with aftermarket stereos, we take the aftermarket stereos out and install new factory stereos. Usually, the customer either takes their old stereo, or lets us keep it. When we keep it, one of usually sells it or gives it to a friend. I got a Pioneer DEH-P41 from a used car, and I have installed it in my fiancee's '96 Escort with no trouble.

Does anyone know where I can download an Owner's Manual for a DEH-P41? I already tried Pioneer's website, and they don't seem to acknowledge that they ever built this model, even in their ARCHIVE section. I found a DEH-P4100 which is exactly the same as mine, so the model no. might be a typo, but they do not offer owner's manual downloads for that model (probably too old). I emailed Pioneer, but I haven't heard anything from them. I'm trying to show my girlfriend how to work everything, plus I'm trying to set the clock! I have a DEH-P630 and a very similar DEH-1500, but my experience with those didn't help with setting the clock?

Any suggestions about the clock or the manual??

Thanks,

Dave

go to pioneerelectronics.com. click on the radios and once you go into one scroll down and look for a spot where it says older model. you can look up the radio and manual in there. lagatbezan should be right on with what he stated but you can go to the site in case you want to learn other features

The DEH-P41 is an older model.  It shares a service manual with the DEH-P3100, so you can try the instructions for that model (the owner's manual for the P3100 is available for download on teh Pioneer Elecronics web site.)  Here's the "Time Setting" section in that manual:

Setting the Time

This is the mode for setting the time on the unit’s clock display. (Refer to page 36 for details concerning the clock display.)

1. Select the time setting mode in the Initial Setting Menu.

3. Set as desired time with the (arrow left and right) buttons.

As soon as you switch to "Minute", the seconds start counting from 00.

2. Select "Hour" or "Minute" with the (up and down) buttons.

I got the clock set, it was the Function menu after all. I feel kinda dumb now! Thanks for letting me know about the DEH-P3100 manual also, my girlfriend wants a copy.

Thankx for your help,

Dave
