Does anyone know what amp and how many speakers are in a 1996 Volvo Sedan with "Premium Sound"? Does the car have a subwoofer somewhere hidden? What amp? Any answers would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Mark

Which model volvo? 850? 960? Depending on the model and trim line, I think they shouldn't have more than 6 speakers and maybe a small sub. Since volvo is owned by ford, it may have something similar to the ford Premium system. I would check behind the truck liner (on both sides) for an amp and also behind the dash on the glove box side. And the sub might under the back seat.

It is Model 960 with Turbo. My friend says the system is Alpine but I don't know for 100% surety. On the rear speaker grills, it only says "VOLVO" and on the Head Unit, it only says "Premium Sound System". Sounds really great. Superb I would say. Where is the small subwoofer hidden if there is any?

If there is one,  it's probably small (between 4 and 6 inch).  So it could in the trunk, or under the back seat.  The 960 was the biggest car volvo made in 96 so I would check the trunk first.
