Hi. I was wanting to know what amp you recomend for one 15 inch, 1000 watt/ 500 watt rms, Eclipse, subwoofer. Also what is the recommended wattage(max and rms) for an amp for this speaker, and what would be your advice for an amp other then the one you suggest, that would be cheaper but still perform well.

Thanks

Does in make a difference in quality and loudness if you by a cheap amp instead of an expensive amp?

A mono sub amp that produces 500 w rms at 2 ohm mono, preferablt at 12 volts.  There are a pile of amps that will do this, here are a couple of decent amps to consider.

Concept CA525 or old model CC500M (new one kicks a$$)

Rockford BD501
