Hello, I want to know if I can do this..

My radio have 40W x 4,it also have RCA outputs...I want to know if I can use a amp to power the 6x9 speakers..I dont want tomuch power, only something to push the 6x9'..

I see on wbay thsi soundstorm amp http:///.com/dll?ViewItem&item=3087031509, It will work with the 6x9?

Yeah, that would push the 6x9's alright, wouldn't recomend Sound Storm though, a little to generic for my blood but it would still work if your on a tight budget like many of us are. You'll want to disconnect the wiring to the 6x9's, run the RCA's to the amp, and run new wiring to them from the amp, you dont have to disconnect anything from the head units unless you just want to, just be sure to secure any disconnected wires so positive and negative dont touch or you could damage your head unit. Good luck with it.

Soundstorm = boat anchor.  That's why it has a $24.95 "Buy It Now" price.  About $24.90 too much, if you ask me.  Depending on your head unit, you'll have better results using the built-in amps to power your speakers and save your pennies until you can afford a "real" amp.

Your deck actually puts out more power than that amp does, , my store carrys some soundstorm for those poor people.   If you set on sound storm look into the 350 x 2 one, , its actually 350 watts peak.  About 80 wrms per channel.   Thats what the calculations come close to in my head.
