how can you find the sq feet of a bandpass box. its for 2 12s and they face eachother in like a V shape with a plexi glass window

just measure the height x width x depth and divide by 1072 i believe but only measure the inside

well thats the calculation for volume atleast... i dont know if thats what u wanted?

The manual that came with my aw1051q's indicates that volume is H x W x D divided by 1728, not 1072. I'm not disagrreing, I'm just throwing it out there. Does your box have black carpet w/ grey carpet on the sides and a mirrored interior? If so , we have the same box except I have 10's. The box looks great, is loud, but i don't think it's the right size(mine anyway) for my subs. The sound quality is just so-so. Based on popular opinion I'm going to start building a nice sealed home for them.

Then yu can decide if your bandpass enclosures are correct for your drivers.

yea alex your right, I was trying to remember back from when i build my 3 boxes but the number came out wrong :) thats why i didnt say that for sure. Thanks for the correction...

when you do the measuring do u measure the whole box or do you measure just one side of it and divide by 1728?

no my box is similar it doesnt have a mirror and the carpet is the same color all around inside and out

12X12X12=1728, the total cubic inches in a cubic foot.

measure inside width X length X height in inches. You will get your total box volume. Divide this number by the inches in a cubic foot to convert your number of cu. inches to cu. feet. Now you have your box volume in cubic feet, for example, .88 or 1.27
