confused about ohms need help

MY amp is 250 rms x2 or 500 rms x 1 at 2 ohms stable, my question is can i run 2 - 4 ohm subs on this amp? Also how would i wire this set up is posible?

yes, well, if you have a single voice coil sub that is 4 Ohms you can just wire postive to postive and negative to negative. If you have a dual voice coil sub that is dual 4 ohm coils you'll want to wire them in parrallel to get a 2 ohm resistance. To do that just wire one positve to the other and one negative to the other then run them both to the amp (you'll have one line from the amp, then just run the line from the first coils positive to the other coils positive and the same for the negative)."Shiny chrome when used in conjunction with bikini models is particularly effective in inducing brain deficit disorder"

reverse? I dont think I said anything about reversing. its just a jensen 500 watt from sears i bought it from a friend a few months back im also running a compacitor im not sure on the model of the amp its in my trunk and i dont feel like going outside right now to find out

Same hookup.  4-ohm stable in mono mode.  Actual output on this amp is about 100 watts per channel into 4-ohms (again, on a good day.)Support the12volt.com
