Hello all, this is my first post here.
I currently have an Alpine XM tuner hooked up to my stock Infinity deck through the FM modulator. I'm going to be replacing the deck with the Alpine CDA-9831, so I'll be directly connecting the XM tuner to the head unit. My question is, can I still use the Alpine FM modulator for the AUX IN functionallity? Will I still need to keep the remote display available to enable the AUX IN or can I do it from the 9831?
Thanks
Raymond

You can purchase an adaptor and control the XM directly through the alpine deck.  Sell the fm modulator online and get back half of what you paid for the XM unit.

Your XM tuner works off of Alpine's AI Net.  Your deck is XM and AI Net ready.  You won't need the fm modulator nor the commander.  It will be a direct connection.  When you press your source button, your radio will toggle from radio, xm, then to cd.
Do it right the first time
