does it make much of a difference if the amp power (red) cable is attached under the drivers kick panel at the ignition harness rather than the battery :S??....

mine is currently under the drivers kick but im goin to change it soon direct to the battery but i was just wondering how much of a difference it realli makes? thanks.

I wouldn't recommend catching it there.  Too many things could go wrong.  What guage of wire are you using for your amp?  How big is your amp?  Play it safe and run your power wire from your battery.

It depends on how many amps the amplifier will draw.  If it uses 10 amps or less, then it could be OK.  But it is generally not recomended, since a car's wiring harness is built for only the loads of the car, and adding extra loads (especially large loads like an amplifier) can burn up the wires.  If you have a large amp connected this way, you could be setting yourself up for a fire.

uh oh....in tht case i tink i beta attach it 2 the battert quick time.....im runnin 30 amps..well thts the fuse on the amp neway...:S...600watt amp

ok ill do tht but would it make much difference to the way the amp operates or the quality of the sound?? thanks
