I have 2 sony 12" subs (4ohms each) with a sony 1000w amp. They are run in 2 ohm sterio right now. The amp is bridgeable but only at 2ohm mono. If I bridge the amp like normal it would bring it to  1 ohm mono right? Is there any way to bridge the 2 subs at 2 ohm mono?

no bridge normally and you will run 2 ohm mono. Right now you are  running 4 ohm stereo

Which Sony amp?  All the 2-channel Sonys I know are NOT 2-ohm stable if bridged, but minimum 4-ohm.  Which model do you have?

i think he is talking about the 1200 watt sony, which actually puts out 1000, and that one is 2-ohm mono, but all the rest are 4 ohm mono
