I have a 2001 Suburban and I want to use the factory speakers in the back. Is there a way to use the factory amp for these and use a aftermarket headunit. I dont know if this is very clear, I am using the factory speakers for fill only, should I run them off the head unit or try to use the factory amp?

yes you can run off the factory amp from a after market head unit, but why would you want to.you  I would Sh*t can the factory speakers. the very best oem speakers suck compaired to a good aftermarket speaker. do it any way you want ,but you will know what i'm talking about after you hook up everthing and your rear fill sounds like crap.

buy the metra wire harness for a burban with factory amp. leave the back speaker wire alone and they will work with aftermarket stereo. run rca's out of stereo for the other speakers
