Ok im goin to be putting a system in my 78 Firebird after i get the other stuff i need for it and i just wanted your guy's input seeing i am not that familiar with this type and dont exactly kno what to look for in a nice system. im looking to put my at most 500 to 600 bux into this system(may or may not include a new cd player, i have an older one that i have right now) now i want two new back speakers probably 5 or 6 in. speakers there(possibly some 6x8 in speakers not totally sure. for those i was looking at these speakers...

those were basically what i thought of as a good price for something that looked decent(again dunno much so they may totally suck thats y im posting lol)

anyways...im also going to get a couple speakers to put in the doors - hopefully...i dont want to cut the panel so im hoping to get them mount them in nicely and have it just behind the panel in each door and just have the sound come through...

so for those i was thinking maybe some 3 or 4 in. speakers heres a couple i looked at...

for subs i would like some 12 inchers, and im thinking about making my own box to custom fit it in the trunk...ok for subs i was looking at these...

for an amp i have no freaking clue...so if u guys could give me ur input...if u even want to give me like a full shopping cart of stuff i should get for that price i would appreciate it but try to keep it $450 or less for the subs, amp, and speakers...thats my ideal price...again i would GREATLY APPRECIATE any help.

thanks guys

Well I can tell you that I wouldn't put pyle in anything I own.  Audiobahn I'm not a big fan of either but I would prefer them over pyle.  As far as subs I wouldn't go too cheap you'll only regret it later.  Now is also the time of year when all the big box stores are cutting prices on last years product to make room for this years I would look into that.  Go into these stores knowing what size speakers you want and how much money you want to spend and make a deal.  Good luck!

hummm a budget system. I've used Audiobahn, their ok but a bit pricy and arn't the greatest stuff in the world. Pyle isn't the best either but I do know their amps arn't that bad. Legacy might as well be put in the trash. If you want some cheap but good subs look into some Rockfords, their punch Z's are a good starter system and dont cost an arm and a leg, their HE's run a little more and hit a little more too. Check some discount sites for RF stuff for your subs. Highs, I'd look for some Cerwin Vega Stealth 6.5", I have a set, and their loud. For 6x9's I'd say probably CV as well if you can find some, or else audiobahn is alright. Well, thats my input.

Good question. But their both still crap in the end. So I'm gona be strait with you Paintball. In my solum opinion, and yes I know that I cant spell, Pyle, Legacy, Audiobahn, Lanzar, Audiopipe, Pyramid... the list goes on. Their all crap. If you want to have a system your not gona feel bad about you'll need about 500 more than your wanting to spend. Dont waste your time with these knock off brands, they'll cost you more in the long run. Go down to BestBuy, Circuit City, or Sound Advice, or maybe a local install shop. Pick up a nice set of 5 1\4" MB Quarts with a 1" tweeter, get a pair of Rockford 12's, which ever you like best, and get an amp made by JBL. The MBQ's will cost you about 300, the Subs another 300 and the amp, about 400. Custom build your box to your car and tune it out right (maybe get a pro to help you with that if your unsure of yourself). Sure, this will cost you more, but if your serious about your sound then dont screw around with knock offs, trust me, been there done that.

This would be a good system for the money: Blaupunkt Orlando head unit, MB Quart discus 3.5" and 4" coaxials, an Infinity kappa 12" sub, and a JBL BP 600.1 amp. You could add another Infinity kappa sub and the JBL amp could still handle it (if you wired each sub to the JBL's outputs each sub would recieve 300 watts at 2 ohms). This stuff is over what you wanted to spend but it would sound wayyyyyyyyyyyy better then what you were originally looking at.

Yeah, realistically you're not gonna get a headunit, four interiors,  an amp plus a wiring kit, and a sub that sound up to par for any less than about $800.

2 12" L7's
PPI PCX-1500
4 6.5" Pioneer 4-way's
Kenwood KAC-6401
Lanzar Opti-Drive Cap
Sony CDX-F7700 Headunit
