ok i was thinking of getting  two amps ( maybe)  well i got a 1501bd rock an 4 infinity d vq subs dvc  12 in.  if i wire all four together it will be 2 ohms. but if i wire them 2 a piece then it will be either 4 ohms or 1ohm. so i was wondering if it would be worth it buy by another 1501bd or will the one be fine. cuz i don't think this amp is 1ohm stable. cuz when u have two amps an 4 speakers two of those subs have to go to one amp then the other two have to go to the other right?

you will be fine with just the one amp because even if you bought the second amp you would be giving all of the subs the same amout of power with two amps if you had only the one amp....just wire your four subs to 2ohms on the one amp they will get about 375wrms.

One amp will be fine, Rockford lists their amp to produce the least possible amount of power in the worst of conditions, not the most amount of power in the best. I would bet that your amp is up around the 1650 watt output area at 2 ohms, thus just over 400w rms to each sub. The box will be the determining factor on the overall spl and sq.

I have been super busy in the last week, I never want to see a Mazda RX8 again and what made matters worse was a bad Audio Control 6XS right out of the box. Now I have a new RSX in pieces for a truckload of sounddeadening and fibreglass sub box for 2 nice Eclipse aluminum 12's and a Xtant 1001 to power them. Next week is just as bad. And for all those that need it, my PM now has room for requests.
