I am going to install a Delphi SKYFi in a 2003 Altima Non Bose Factory OEM. The existing unit has a single

CD/AM/FM player. The option I think I want to use is an FM modulator. I would like to know if anyone may have a wiring diagram and removal guide I can follow to access the existing wiring and antenna connection. I would like to run a hot line and a ground either to the existing harness or through the firewall. I think the antenna may be the awkward part but until I can see the existing wiring I do not know. I know there is a wireless solution but I don't know the quality of sound I can expect. Any and all help greatly appreciated.

No problem, gently pull the a/c housing and it come off. Next you will have 1 screw to remove at the bottom right of the radio. Now remove the entire center section by pulling forward. There are 4 screws holding the radio in and the harness is a standard Nissan Harness. I own a 03 3.5SE.

Thanks for the response. Can you advise if the antenna connector is a normal bullet style or do I have to try and obtain an adaptor? Have you installed a satellite radio in your car and if so did you use a FM modulator. As you suggest I want to do it right the first time.

You have the standard antenna in your altima. Yes I have XM, but mine is dedicated. I'm an installer and I do this all day. Here's my 03 Altima: http://www.nissantalk.com/registry/vehicles.php?vehicleid=2169. Let me know if you need anything.

Thanks again for the response. I really appreciate. Your pics look great. Would I be satisfied with the audio if I used a SA10081 Wireless FM modulator and a DC6Volt power adapter for my install along with a good antenna? The reason I ask is it would save time and not disturb the existing OEM car audio. Also it would perhaps eliminate any engine noise that could be introduced by hardwiring the regular FM modulator?? I just want the ability to enjoy a wide range of channels. What do you think? Which model of antenna do you suggest?

Delphi has an antenna that comes in their car kit. I haven't experienced any engine noise with the dephi units. The only thing I don't like about fm modulators is if you travel a lot, you constantly have to search for channels with weak reception. And the Delphi modulator only has 3 channels to choose from. Other than that, the Delphi is an awesome unit.

I finally have my car adapter kit on order and expect in a week and a wireless fm modulator coming in a few weeks. Can anyone suggest how I might run the antenna wire providing the path of least resistance and keeping a clean look along the way. I have some idea as I expect to mount on the roof to test and work back towards the rear window to allow the least exposure of the wire.
