Hey guys, last fall I installed an amp, subs, and satellite radio through my Panasonic radio. Afterabout a month or so, I started to hear a high pitch 'squeal' coming out of my speakers, similiar to alternator whine. So I checked all my grounds to make sure they were secure & hitting bare metal, which they were. I ended up taking out my amp and subs about a month ago, removing the 12v+ wire from my battery, and my RCA's from behind the deck, and i'm still getting this whine. 2 questions..
Could this whining be caused from the RCA's from my satellite radio tunerbox to my radio?
Why am I only hearing this whine when the car is first started up from sitting for a few hours?
...and yes, I have tried RCA filters.
Any help would be greatly appreciatedalternator whine? -- posted image.

are u saying the noise goes away after a couple of hours?

is it in only one speaker or all of them?

make sure none of your leads off your speakers are touching ground anywhere

Yeah, it seems that the 'whining' is the loudest when the car is running for the 1st hour or so. My speakers are all stock, so I doubt that a wire is touching considering they go to a plug, which plugs into a speaker.alternator whine? -- posted image.

Whine is loudest initially because alternator is charging at higher rate after start-up until battery is charged.

Unplug the sat radio antenna and see if the sound goes away.
