I have some really nice polk audio house speakers, but they are 8ohms. Is there any way i can hook these up in my car to my cd player that wants a 4 ohm load? Also, would adding two more 4 ohm speakers throught the rear pre-outs and the 8 ohm speakers ruin the deck?

8 ohm speakers or 4 ohm speakers wont make a difference. Most head units make their power for speakers in the 4-8 ohm range. I dont understand the second half of the question though. sorry.

I wouldnt try running tower speakers off of a deck if that is what you have.

Also as far as the second part of the question, the rear pre-outs are only for adding amplifiers they will not power a speaker.

Run the 4 ohms speakers off of the deck and add an amp to the preouts to run the towers, all will work fine this way. The only hiccup is that the tower speakers will knock the amp power down by 50%.
