k.. to start off i know yall need this.... sub is a 12in L7 dual 4ohm its at 2ohms right now... around a 2cuft box sealed home made...ive got 4awg power + ground wire.... umm its a 96 explorer alpine H/U infinity kappa 5x7 all around...umm i think thats all u would need.... right now the L7 is on the jbl but im getting a Bd501 for about 150 with wires circuit breaker Rcas fuse blocks and everything so i couldnt pass it up... but which is better overall... i know the BP is lacking some feautures the BD will give me but which will make the sub as clean and loud as possible.... good balance of course

The Rockford just might surprise you, let us know the outcome.  Personally I'll pass on the L7. If you want it to get loud, get that sub into a ported enclosure and it will come alive for you. My bet lies with the Rockford.

could i ask y you would go with the fosgate?more reputable name?? or does it put out that much more power?? i dont want to port it i want to keep as much SQ in it as possible i wanted it to be loud with smaller space original idea atleast and its workin pretty well...hits about as loud as my old 2 12s surprisingly
