Does anyone know if you can install 1 12" eclipse sub w/an coustica amp 230watt RMS w/the factory stereo?

as far as i know yes...w/ a high to low converter...?!!!

i read something where you can use that converter by hooking it up to the existing rear (or front) speaker wires, then running it to the amp...can it be done???

yep, thats how i have mine setup right now.  just splice it right in with your speaker wire and then hook up that to your rca jacks.  the only other thing is you have to find a remote wire.  not too sure if the corolla has one, but if not you can splice into an accessory wire.  for mine, i had to put a switch in it tho, cause it automatically came on with the car even if the stereo wasnt on, so id get a constant rumble from my subs until the radio was turned on.

aren' t you feeding the amp a wrong signal...(i think that is what the high to low does converts signal from high to low...?!!)not sure never really got into this before anyone else.........?

dis-regaurd that last comment just re-read the question...ne ways...thought he meant splice into rear speaker wires w/ cut-off rca's...lonnnnggggg day...lol
