A friend of mine has a ton of used and new equipment he got from a shop that's closing.  I'm interested in a Memphis Belle 6 ch,600W amp and a Soundstream Picasso 4ch, 640W amp.  I have zero experience w either brands, are they good products?  He also has 4 brand new pairs of Crystal 51/4 co-axial speakers.  How are these?  The Memphis amp looks like it is basically 2 amps in one-it has front and rear RCAs and controls and a sub RCA and controls.   It looks like it can run an entire system-can it?

All the equipment you mention is top quality.  The Memphis amp is fantastic.  The Soundstream is one of the last reall good ones they made.  Crystal speakers are good for most applications.  You have found a good batch of gear.

Sweet, thanks!  Regarding the Memphis amp-it has RCAs for front, rear and sub, does it require all 3 to be hooked up to run, or is that so I can control the amp better w my HU.  I currrently have 1 RCA w splitters on the ends to run 2 amps.  Also, what kind of power will the sub channel put out bridged @ 4 ohm?  The power rating is 600W, how is that split up between 6 channels?  I know I'm asking a lot of questions-thank you in advance!!!!

Go to their web site and you can pull down all the specs and oiperating manual for the Belle amps.  The Belle's are five channel amps.  The 4-channel side is a class A/B amp and the mono sub side is a class D amp.  RMS power rating of the big Belle (MC1300D) is 75 watts X 4 and 300 watts X 1 into 4 ohms.  115 X 4 and 600 X 1 into 2 ohms.  The sub channel is one ohm stable and produces 1100 watts.  The baby Belle (MC600D) is 55 watts X 4 and 100 X 1 into 4 ohms.  It also is 2-ohm stable on the 4-channel side and 1-ohm stable on the sub side.  You need to provide inputs to any channels you want active.  I suggest if your head only has front and rear outputs that you use a crossover with a sub out like an Audio Control 6XS.

Thanks, the Belle amp has 600W printed on it, would this be the baby or the big Belle?
