Has anyone ever had their audio system mess up their cars computer or anything that would cause the car to not to shift right?

Holey cap lock bat man!   If you have a 2000 or newer GM, ,then ya, , you need a special harness.

We've installed a Varad Scanner on a 2000 Dodge minivan.  Tied into radio wires, once in a while the tranny indicator would show only park,  would go in 1st gear only.  Pulled out the light, tranny works fine.  Are these newer car senative to changing ground signals, you beatcha.  But if you installed with a proper harness it should work fine.

That would be more of a remote start type issue then an audio related issue. It is possible buy highly unlikely that just replacing the radio would cause something like this.
