I just got my Infinity Perfect 12.1D.
I was looking around Infinity's webpage and noticed the Mistubishi-Infinity Eclipse show car.
From their website :

To power this system, Infinity chose to go with JBL's Powervalve BP1200.1 subwoofer amp, delivering 600 watts to each Perfect sub.

However the subs are rated at 350 W RMS / 1400 W Peak.
So...
Are the subs underrated? Because I doubt they'd set up a system that could so easily overpower the subs, hell, they're getting almost 2x their power rating.
But, truth of the matter is that i don't know what to make of it. I was thinking of getting a JL 500/1 for my sub, and i thought i was going into overkill.
What do you guys make of it?

Show cars most always over power subs but they also have all of the equiptment and knowledge to safely do so. ive heard 2 of those subs running off of a mtx 421d getting only 200wrms and they sounded amazing. so its your choice. i think if you give them the reccomended rms you will be satisified with that sub.
