mitsubishi eclipse, 2 kicker l7 12''

Well, this post is for all the gurusss out there. I'm kind of stuck being fairly new to this. Anyways, I have two kicker l7 12" 04 model, and i'd like to keep a small budget ($800-1000, and the nearest shop quoted me 350 to build my box) so I want to build my own ported box to cover the entire hatch of my eclipse, any recommendations? any help on box specs in detail would be appreciated.  Also, I want alot of bump..but am i still able to listen to rock with good SQ, or is it basicly one or the other?

You arn't going to get much sound quality out of L7s (they only play well to about the mid 80hz area). You will get some decent SPL out of them though.
