okies..... I recently brought my girlfreind a Blaupunkt head deck. Just a cheapy one for her sh*tbox. Anyways i have installed it but whenever the car is turned on and power is reachign it. it turns of within a few seconds as it is overheating.

I have tried running another constant power cource from the batery but it still does it.

What could the problem be?

check for a pinch or short on the speaker wires.... or check to make sure you have the wires connected properly.....i'd bet a hundred bucks that your problem is a wiring problem...

KIM most Blau units ( all actually ) utilize a floating ground output...which means ALL the speaker wires have to be isolated from each other and also from the chassis of the vehicle....grab a DMM and meter all your speakers for continuity to ground... i suspect you'll find the problem......
