how much of a difference does preout voltage make? I"m looking at two alpine decks. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-hTuOx1JzmCD/cgi-bin/ProdComp.asp?g=300&c=3&s=0&cc=01&pt2=0&ITM500CDM9823=on&ITM500CDA9825=on&IMAGE4.x=28&IMAGE4.y=2

Is the 20 extra dollars worth it?

I"m going to be running the deck into an eclipse ea3422. I"m just curious how much of a difference it really makes. Thanks.

Yes, by all means,IMO.  You'll see that the description given on the Crutchfield site describes the 9823 as a starter deck, geared more as a deck replacement when you are not going to add an amplifier, and as you compare the features of the two there is more for the $20 difference.  Notice the multiple preouts.  If you would also like to be able to play MP3's,  here is the 9827.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
