I'm about to buy the Pioneer deq-p7000 so I can have 5.1 surround. I currently am using a Kenwood KAC-749, which is only pushing 40 watts x 4 at 14.4 volts, and my car is running at about 13.9 volts. I was planning on putting two 3.5" center channels, one for the front and one for the back, so I was thinking of just using the Kenwood amp for the center channels and rear speakers, and buying a 2 channel amp for my components. Since my car runs at 13.9 volts, and my components can handle 60 watts RMS, I am looking for an amp pushing 75 watts x 2 RMS at 14.4 volts, as I'd rather be a bit overpowered than underpowered.
Is the Phoenix Gold Tantrum T300.2 a good amp for components? If not, any other recommendations are welcome.
Jon
Don't like rockford subs? Then don't look at my car =)

The Tantrum series are great amps.  The Kenwood should do your center channels nicely.
