Recently I've noticed a noise coming from my amplifier.  I have a Kicker subwoofer and an EL CAPITAN Rocky series amp in my trunk and I'm pretty sure the noise is coming from my amp.  It sounds like a hissing noise...is this normal?  I've never noticed the sound until I recently had my alarm installed.  Could something have gone wrong?

Yeah, it's the amp itself that's hissing, not the speakers.  Noise from amp -- posted image.

that's a bad thing, there's a loose solder connection inside, or a snake

Any way to fix it?  Loose solder connection inside where?  And what's a snake?

Pull the amp, it's on it's way to 12 volt hell! Send it back to the manufacturer for repair... Look out for the snake!
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Again, what's a snake?  If I kept the amp on, will it mess up my system/car?  I can't pull the amp because my sub is connected to it for power.  Ugh!  It's too old to send back for repair too.....

snake you know slithering reptile that hisses, you may be able to have it repaired but the cost may be more than a new amp (unless your handy with a schematic and solder)

Could be the power supply as well. The RF bd amps from 2 years ago had a problem where the power supplies whined on them right outta the box, gotta love the RF quality control. Geese hiss to but its doubtful one could live inside your amp due to the snake already being there.

Well, I believe that the amp is drawing the power directly from the battery.  So should I rewire the power line?  And about that whole snake deal, I thought a "snake" was a term for something else...not the snake snake.  LOL

Oh yeah, one thing is that after about 5 minutes of hissing/ringing (it may just be my ears ringing) it stops.  I don't know is that means anything!?!
